Sunday 30th Activities
Firstly congratulations to every northwest triathlon club junior member who took part in the Derry City Council Aquathon on wednesday past in Templemore. Reports are that the NWTC Junior members exceeded expectations all finishing very strongly and confidently. Well Done to you all.
Ok so here are the plans for this weekend
Swimming back to normal this week all lanes open, available to the junior members and all coaches back on deck. Swim starts at 9.10am and finished at 9.50am.
Cycling Proficiency Level 1. this week again the Derry City Council cycling proficiency coaches will hold a level one training session for all those interested. this will start at approx 10.15am so if your child is swimming and then taking part in the proficiency course perhaps include a snack for them as you build up quite an appetite swimming :-) also appropriate clothing....
The Derry City Council have a number of bikes available for children to use (but bikes are limited) and are given out on a 1st come 1st served basis. additionally the bikes could be unfamiliar to your child and they may feel less confident so it may suit to bring your child's bike along.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD IS WEARING A HELMET. no helmet no taking part.
The proficiency course will last 2 hrs and will finish at around 12 noon.
Sunday Club Cycle. This sunday meet again at the foyle railway station at 2pm and as usual finish between 3.15 and 3.30. once we meet up we can decide which direction to go.
Weather look ok also but as we know this can change but with summer time starting on sunday lets hope the weather get better from here on.
also Happy Mothers Day to all mum
