Ulster Schools Aquathon

A massive well done to all our junior triathletes who qualified to
compete in the Ulster Schools Aquathon yesterday 6th December at
Templemore. Athletes travelled from all over Ulster and the standard
on show was first class. The conditions on the cross crountry run were
extremely challenging after the deluge of rain we had the two days
previous, but all our juniors should be really proud of their
performances, as they were competing against the best triathletes in
Ulster and we were very competitive across all the age groups. Special
mention goes to young Oisin Gallagher and Flionn Mc Laughlin, who were
first and second in the primary school section, helping the Derry team,
which was made up of other nwtcjnr members, Ruairi Taylor, Euan Bonner
and Seamus Bonner, to get first overall in this category. Hard work
paying off for these young athletes, who have made great progress since
joining the junior club. Well done lads.

Of course the whole event
would not have hap…
