Training 17th Swim Bike Run (Triathlon) & a Few Notes.......

Training
This week in preparation for the upcoming triathlon season we will focus on all three disciplines swim, bike and run. As usual start in the pool ready to start the session in the water @ 9.10am swim continues until 9.50am. Then a quick change into cycling/running gear, the session will be a "brick" session. A brick session is where we cycle for a while, then transition into running and run for a short distance. We will do this a few times and finish up by approx 11am. 

The weather for Sunday (today) look OK we should get away with little or no rain, but it looks cold so dress up appropriately what this means is a few layers, if you put on only one heavy layer once you warm up on the brick session you will be too warm.


Congratulations:
Well done to all our junior members who last weekend had a busy weekend, we had swimmers in Bangor taking part in the ulster championships on Sunday and on Saturday a lot of members took part in the Foyle Hospice Swimathon in William street. 

City of Derry Kids Tryathlon
You may have seen in the newspapers or heard the word on the street this year again the firmus energy City of Derry Kids Tryathlon will take place in Templemore Sports Complex on the 12th June so mark this date in your Diary. More details will be given out over the next few weeks but book this date & spread the word.
